Learning with a grown-up in the loop
What progress means
Quests and activity badges celebrate saved learning and trying. They are not school grades. Learning checks use issued questions and recorded answers; two different unassisted correct answers provide an initial demonstration, followed by reviews after 1, 7 and 30 days.
These checks are a focused starter sample, not a comprehensive diagnostic or independently validated assessment. A correct answer on one concept does not establish ability across an entire subject.
Sources and educator review
Friday uses original lesson targets informed by Common Core, NGSS, arts, social-studies and computing frameworks. Source links and the actual review status appear with learning checks. No lesson is marked educator-approved unless an authorized reviewer records approval for that version.
Safety and limitations
Friday uses shared teaching policies and additional request checks. These protections can make mistakes. Parents should stay involved, report concerning content, and encourage children to ask a trusted adult for help. Friday cannot contact emergency services or replace teachers, clinicians or family guidance.
Before commercial launch
Qualified educator and safeguarding review, provider permission for children’s processing, legal privacy review, validated parental verification, retention decisions and real audible voice testing remain required. No compliance certification or world-best claim is made.
